Reason's We Love Superman:
- He has great hair
- His eyes are the most amazing color blue
- He has "super" friends
- He knows how to treat a lady
- And he is the reason we were able to make these cupcakes for one little boy who loves him!(he was truly speechless when his mom opened the box to show him the cake....to say he gasped would be totally appropriate. Made our day!)
Because of time constraints we were unable to purchase a fondant cutter to make the Superman logo, so we tried something new for these "super" cupcakes. I know, too many "supers" for one post? Anyway, we found an great how to video from Nerdy Nummies on youtube using royal frosting (cookie frosting). With some trial and error we were able to get it and loved how the colors stand out against the light blue. The sprinkles added a special something and we were ecstatic how they came together!
It would be safe to say that these brought out the inner child in my husband who miraculously found a stack of Superman Comic books he's been hoarding for years. Who knew?
